The Mad Woman Who Rolls the Cricket Wickets

June 2007

The last time I did a leisure tyre run was in November 2006, when some "stuffy" park keeper wanted to show who was boss and kicked me out of the park.  His reason being I could tie up a kid with my rope!

Time to get down to my local cricket club and offer my services.  Like an excited pup I rushed over volunteering to push or pull anything.  To my surprise it was:

My face dropped and like Oliver Twist asking for more, I asked if there was anything I could manually pull or push like a lawn roller.  After some thought, Baz pointed to the lawn roller "we normally do this with the motorised lawn roller but you can roll that square bit over there - the cricket wicket".

Awesome, every week, 2.5 hours rolling the cricket wicket and reducing the carbon emissions of the club!

Even more joy, everyone hates removing the three cricket wicket covers, so have added that to my job description.  Absolutely great for the quads.

Each cricket wicket cover is 3.66m x 35m
