Secret Foods: Snack Bars

We sampled an array of snack bars on our trip out.  Here's our verdict whilst trying to eat them at minus degrees.
 

• Flapjacks - tasted great and were still edible at -27 degrees Celcius.  Would definitely take this product along as it was also the ONLY bar that was filling.
• Breakfast cereal Bars - ok but didn't fill me.
• Cliff Bars - not sure.  I had lemon cheese cake and thought it tasted like dish washing liquid.  Darcy likes them though.
• Fruit Bars - tasted okay but hard to chew until the temperature of one's mouth melted it enough.
• Power Bars - awful.  Out in the cold, the bar became like a brick. Could have broken my teeth trying to bite into it.  It took me a whole hour to eat one as I skied onwards trying to soften it with the heat from my breath.  However it did give me energy once I gnawed through it!
