What would be an interesting present?

A Christmas song for you - Click here
If you want to hear how it should be sung, click here but keep the volume down - I find it scary!
For someone who likes to work with plants and being in the garden:
- Solar lights - great for the garden and as a night light. Uses very little energy. Typically needs a rechargeable battery in the unit
- A composting unit - to break down the garden/vegetable/fruit wastes into compost
- A wormery - tiger worms break down cooked food into compost. Beware not to let them loose in the garden and remember to feed them!
For the business professional/traveller:
- Solar re-charger - check for adapters available for the different makes of mobile technology. The most compact unit so far is the Solio.
- Carbon offsetting vouchers - I use Planktos due to their work with the ocean and forests. The ocean and forests are the lungs of the world.
Something for the home:
- For woman to woman - try a menstrual cup. This will reduce the number of pads/tampons used and is healthier.
- Shake torches - the shaking motion recharges a battery in the torch. Never have a dead battery.
- Look for locally produced produce to create a hamper.
- Get your kids a couple of big boxes and help them create something
from them or just let them use it as a tunnel, cave or slide
For the person who likes to workout:
- Give them a tyre or a set of four
And to keep in with the theme of recycle and reuse:
- Freecycle - organisation that helps to recycle "other" types of items you might not want but someone else might find useful
